I have spent my entire working career in the financial services industry; I spent the majority of that time working for a well-known high street bank mainly working in the Wealth Management and Corporate areas. As a consequence, I have a high level of understanding and experience of the finances of high income, high net worth individuals and business owners. I have also established an excellent network of contacts and have first rate working relationships with other professions which regularly benefit my clients.
I have over 35 years experience in finance, banking and wealth management and use this to deliver personalised planning solutions for my clients who have differing goals and aspirations. I worked as an Independent Financial Adviser for five years before deciding to accept an invitation to join St. James's Place Wealth Management.
I believe to be truly effective, it is vital for me to fully understand my client’s circumstances, financial objectives and plan. Where necessary I help them develop an appropriate plan. This should be reviewed regularly as part of an ongoing process to monitor that the plan remains current and reflects the changes in circumstance that will inevitably occur, taking appropriate action where possible to reflect those changes.
I aim to provide a high level of client service. Most of my clients come to me as a result of referrals from existing clients or professional contacts and I regard this as evidence of both my level of service and my “trusted adviser” status with clients. I am committed to ensuring that my industry knowledge remains relevant and current by placing strong emphasis on my personal development.
In summary I see my role as delivering sound financial planning, combined with excellent customer service and good old fashioned common sense, which sadly seems not very common.
Outside of my business, I am a keen sportsman although I recognise that my best playing days are well behind me! I still enjoy and play golf regularly and shoot a little. I enjoy watching most sports including football, rugby and cricket.
